I feel like being the last to do the latest meme, as usual. Interview me! (Ask me any five questions, more or less). Like [livejournal.com profile] sinboy, I don't do well with "What is your favorite" type questions - I tend not to have any one favorite of anything. Or even a short list of favorites.

My online time is limited due to ISP lameness. We signed up under the impression that dialup time was unlimited. It's actually 150 hours per month. I'm not sure how much we actually have left, given that we somehow managed to use 171 hours in the first 5 days. I'm pondering which scientific institute I should report this to.

I got all A's this semester, though I expect at least one of them was the teacher feeling sorry for me.

We spent the day in DC with [livejournal.com profile] silkensteel and family. It was rather exhausting. It's nice to be in the area - we can go back whenever and take a closer look at the Smithsonians, rather than trying to see as much as possible in one day, as I've done every time I've been there so far. I sound like I'm complaining. I'm not. It was fun. Just tiring.

I think we sent you our address, right? :)

I loved the Smithsonian. [livejournal.com profile] deyo and I have been to DC twice. Once was during a humid heat wave, and the other was on a day so cold that the plastic stroller wheel on the stroller for the baby of the family we were visiting cracked and fell off because of the cold. I think it was in the low teens that day. But I loved the museums. :)

And it was a lovely day! You and Koyote were *great* hosts. Debbie's still talking about the IMAX experience. This morning jnork and Debbie were tired but functional - Mariel had the blankets superglued to her forehead and I had to drag her out of bed. And I still feel the marble of the Jefferson Monument under my hands.

jnork and I talked about things on the drive home - mostly he's just really out of shape. He felt bad about how brain-dead he was, and specifically said he hoped you didn't misunderstand his behavior for anything other than being tired and unable to handle that much walking at this time.

Lovely drive home, too. The scariest thing we saw was on the Blue Route (476 North) in PA - someone had apparently had their entire undercarriage DROP out. They were stopped in the right lane with their emergency lights, and there was no way they could move their car to the shoulder. I hope nobody slammed into that car - it was around a curve, so drivers wouldn't have a lot of advance warning.

Thank you both again.

1. If you could change one moment in your life, which would it be and how would you change it?

2. What is your biggest fear about the arrival of [livejournal.com profile] lemurbaby?

3. Have you guys picked a name yet?

4. If you could wish one quality for [livejournal.com profile] lemurbaby what would it be?

5. If you had to give up one sense for the rest of your life, which would it be, and why?

Yeah, there are definetly better dialups out there.

We went with speakeasy because, according to what we understood, the amount we spent on dialup could be applied towards our DSL order once we placed it (or something like that. It made sense when [livejournal.com profile] koyote told me, but I can't remember the details now), and we do intend to do that in the near future, once we're out of Oakwood and have a phone hooked up. If it looks like we'll be stuck with dialup longer than a little bit more, we'll either find somewhere else or figure out some way to use the free AOL dialup [livejournal.com profile] koyote gets through work.
