I never thought I'd say this, but I'm sooo ready for Leif to drop his nap. These days, he tends to fall asleep around four or five, and then not fall asleep for the night till way too late. Even though it means I get no time in the middle of the day, I'd rather he just wait till eight or so and be out for the night.

I'll have to see what happens tomorrow. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday he has morning activities, and that seems to push back his naptime.

Ha. Sounds familiar. I have a three-year-old friend who everyone refers to as 'Bobby Midnight.' He'll find any excuse to take a two-hour nap during the day, and then he won't go to bed until 1am.

It's sort of amazing, the lengths he'll go to to keep himself awake at night -- we're theorizing that it's because it's the only time he's awake with his parents when his older brother isn't.

At any rate: good luck.

When I was working with older toddlers, we'd have parents who begged us not to let their children fall asleep. (For kids in full-day care, a "rest" is required, but this made evenings hell on some of the parents.)
