Leif just helpfully tossed our shoes and my book in the washing machine. Just thought you all would like to know that.

Was it running at the time? Yes, he's about the age when they start recognizing receptacles without having the necessary grasp of what is appropriate to put in said receptacles. I have had to scrape melted plastic off oven racks because a child thought the oven was the perfect place for Bristle Blocks and I neglected to check the oven before turning it on to preheat.

Thankfully, no, otherwise we'd owe the library $25 or so. It was just open waiting for the rest of the laundry to be tossed in.
