Wow. [livejournal.com profile] koyote just cut up a pear with a knife he'd just used to chop garlic.

The combination is amazingly tasty.

Might try melting a little bit of good, sharp cheese (cut with the same knife) onto pear slices... that could be fabulous.

I make a salad, with pear, greens, toasted walnuts, and sometimes some sliced cheese and/or turkey. I like to serve it with a garlicky vinagrette, though Cayne likes other dressings on it.

Sounds similar to what you're talking about.

Mm...that sounds good...

I like pears or apples (granny smith) with some kind of salty cheese. I could see garlic working really well, too.

Makes the Chex Mix I'm pigging out on seem really boring, hehe.

Man, you are so pregnant. :)

And there I was thinking I was just getting fat!

Yeah, fat doesn't take on a life of its own like that. :) Seriously, pears are one of those wonderful fruit that goes well with savory flavors.
