This morning on the way to work, I checked my mailbox (which I hadn't done since Wednesday). It's a good thing I did, since it was packed about as full as it could possibly get.

I suppose not checking your mail for 3 days at a time when you have a birthday isn't the brightest idea ever.

theducks, you're my hero :) The books got here :) I'm amazed by how little time it took. Now I have something to read besides that Anthropology book. Yay!

My dad sent me cheese. Cheese from Italy. It says "The alimentary jewels of Capetta" on it (in Italian). I'm amused.

Also got a number of cards, magazines, and the usual random junk mail.

I started the first of the books. It's good. I'm going to have trouble forcing myself to go to sleep instead of staying up all night reading it, as will happen if I even allow myself to open it.
