You know you have a problem when one of your categories in your list of names not to name the baby is "Characters on Buffy The Vampire Slayer".

I actually like the name Willow, but I seriously doubt that any child of [livejournal.com profile] koyote and I is going to end up being willowy.

Anya is ok, too.

Buffy is right out, though.

The Bob part is ok. It's the ert I could do without.

...there's always Angel - works for either gender.

I always thoughht of Anya as a middle name, myself...

Then again, if my mother had had her way (and I wish she had) I would have been named Kyra Amalis.

Anya is a cool name. I have a friend named Anya. Tho generally she likes to be called Pinky ("Hehehehe POIT!") She's a chemical engineering and earns like $100k at age 24 ;p The downside being that she's just been sent to Algeria by her company.

I forget who, but I remember one of my friends actually had a sister named Buffy, and she's 20 some years old, the last 7 years of her life must've been fun, lol.

If I ever have another child *insert pause here*, I'd name her Katrina to go with the Mortal Kombat Theme..... (Katrina was like a warrior princess and Melina (well, it's Mileena in the game) is her evil twin sister... (Actually, she's her clone, I don't know why they call her the twin))

Willow is a cool name. That damn Hannigan kid is engaged tho. All my poor fantasies down the drain :(

...avoiding names of characters in popular TV shows or current movies is not a bad idea, especially if you don't want you child to be one of 6 - 10 *other* Buffys or Angels or whatevers in hir class. Having grown up going to Catholic schools where every other boy was either James or Joseph and every other girl was some variant of Mary- (Mary-Ann, Mary-Catherine, Mary-Elizabeth, etc.) I made a conscious effort to give my children names that avoided that syndrome. I did a great job with Kirsten and Stefan. David has always had at least one other David in his grade, if not in his class - and Amanda - well, her best friend is also an AManda - need I say more?
