She's here!

Astrid Thora was born at 9:10 PM. She almost ended up in the toilet, but we caught her in time :)

She's pretty tiny, but has been nursing since she was born so they haven't weighed her yet. I'll update more when we get around to it.

Congratulations! I hope you and Thora and family are doing well. Sorry this note is so late -- I haven't been reading LJ, and out of the blue mom called to verify that you had given birth, and I had no information. WHAT GOOD IS THE INTERNET?

I clearly have to find some excuse to get back to CA and visit y'all.

and: wow. she really is cute, not one of those weird faceless personality-less baby-lumps. and you look so happy / healthy in the pictures you posted. Encouraging and good to see.

I'm a little amused that your mom would call you for confirmation rather than my mom.

I realized after sending out the emails that I probably should have included you, since I didn't know how often you were checking LJ. Sorry about that.

And yes, come to CA. We'll probably be in Southern California for Thanksgiving, or you're welcome to come visit us here.

It's strange -- mom sounded a little miffed because your mom didn't call her and tell her about it. I'm not entirely sure how she actually found out.

hrm. Looks like I'll be in Seattle for Thanksgiving, but somewhere in CA in December.
