Feb. 15th, 2003 08:59 pmToday we saw otters!
Well, one otter.
There were rumored to be a pair of otters living at one of the parks in Davis, so we decided to go check it out. When we got there, I didn't really expect to see them, as there were two ponds, and one of them pretty overgrown, but
koyote spotted one swimming around in the water of the other pond.
It was awfully cute. Not that we could see him all this well, even with binoculars, since he tended to be in view for about two seconds at a time between leaving the reeds on the island and diving underwater.
He seemed to be building a house.
We'd like to go back sometime soon with a camera (and more than one pair of binoculars!) and take pictures.
