Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] koyote, you old guy!

[livejournal.com profile] koyote is a bag addict.

And no, that is not an euphamism.

These mood swings are getting really old. It just doesn't help knowing that tomorrow I'll probably be excessively happy again for at least part of the day.

I'll admit that it does help knowing that Leif hasn't had a nap today, so he'll probably pass out early tonight.

He's playing a Blue's Clue's game right now. He sat down at a computer at the library today and suddenly grokked the mouse. It was slightly freaky.

Now [livejournal.com profile] koyote is home, which is somewhat more happy-making.

Up down up down up down making me dizzy.

I have a question that may well be unique in all of human history.

What the heck do you do when your husband offers to take a bestselling author dumpster diving (and expects you to come along), and said author is likely to actually take him up on it?

[livejournal.com profile] koyote got me the most amazing present today.

Ben&Jerry's Peanut Butter Cup Lip Balm.

Is that not the coolest thing ever?

This evening after work, I was dozing. In that strange semiconscious state about 3/4 of the way to sleep, my brain decided that the fact that he was not here yet meant that he would not be showing up at all.

After all, why not? It's happened too often before.

Coming back to consciousness, I realized that this was stupid. I don't think he's that type, and he knows it's something I'm sensitive about.

But apparently my subconscious remained unconvinced of that.

He did show up, of course. It was just bad traffic, and he didn't have my home phone number to call.

The smoke has largely cleared up, so I can breathe and see again. And smell yummy food being cooked.

Relaxing feels so good.

Irony is...

being stuck with a flat tire at 2 AM, about 100 ft. away from a (closed) Firestone Tires store.

This weekend has been very nice.

Last night, the dryer didn't dry my clothes completely, and this morning, most of my jeans were still damp. So I pulled on a dirty pair instead.

Got to campus, and discovered that there's a big brown spot all over the back of one leg.

Eek.

This was the pair I was wearing on Friday - was the spot there then, and you all were just being polite? Or is it a more recent acquisition?

My instincts say it was from the gun cleaning stuff, but I was also sitting on the ground for a while.

I think I'm going home after class and changing. I've got the other jeans hanging up, so hopefully they'll be tolerable by then.

Oh wow
