Feb. 1st, 2004 09:08 pmLeif turned seven months old the other day.
He's sitting up very steadily now. If you noticed in the Christmas pictures, he still had a pillow supporting him. He doesn't need that anymore.
He moves from a seated position to all fours when he's trying to get something (usually the cats). Once he figures out how to coordinate his arms and legs, he'll be crawling. He's also trying to pull himself up to standing (again, usually to get at the cats). He's managed it while holding onto my fingers. I think the main thing preventing him from doing it is that he has a hard time getting a good grip.
One of my earliest memories is being in bed with my mom, and my little brother crawling all over us. We called it tanking. Leif is starting to tank.
He loves every food he's tried except green beans, which he'll eat if they're mixed with something he likes better. The other day he sat with a slice of lemon in one hand and a slice of squash in the other, alternately chewing on each. It was terribly funny to watch.
I think this is a very frustrating age for him. There's so much he can almost do that he can't quite figure out yet.
