He's not walking, though he's getting closer. At times, he'll let go of whatever he's holding on to, take a step, and then sit down. I don't think he realizes he can keep going. Or perhaps he's just satisfied with crawling. He used to walk long distances holding onto our fingers. Now he'll take a few steps, and then sit down and crawl.
He has a front top tooth that's starting to pop through. Thankfully, teething doesn't seem to bother him too much (knock on wood!).
- Daddy
- Dogs
- Cats
- Playing with the open dishwasher
- Playing with the open refrigerator (we try to discourage this, but every time it opens, he tries to crawl in!)
- Playing with the kitchen cabinets (which he just figured out how to open) and their contents.
- We leave the door cracked for the cats, and he likes to take his toys and anything else he can get his hands on and drop them outside. Right now he's trying to shove a toy car out the door, but it won't fit.
- Making spring door-stops go "Boing!"
- Ripping paper. He isn't eating it quite as much anymore, at least. We gave him an old phone book, and he loves tearing pages out of it (and then dropping them out the door!)
- Eating. He'll eat just about anything he can get his hands on, from asparagus to tamales to plain yogurt, but he's becoming quite the breadhound, and can scarf down a banana faster than any kid you've ever seen.
- Baths. I've found that the easiest way to clean the bathroom is to dump him in the bathtub for a few minutes while I clean. Clean baby and clean bathroom, all in one go! I think we're going to have to get him a kiddie pool this summer.
- The stroller. After he outgrew his infant seat, he hated riding forward-facing in the stroller for quite a while. Now he seems to enjoy it again, which is a nice break for my back.
