Sep. 10th, 2005 06:40 pmLeif just went down for his nap. It's 5:30PM.
Lately, he's been dropping his nap occasionally, which is just fine, because then he falls asleep at 8:00PM and everything is good. Unfortunately, when he does take a nap, he's often taking it late, and then staying up till midnight.
I'm debating whether to let him sleep for 15 minutes, or just wait and see if he's out for the night. I'll probably just go the path of least resistance, as I don't think I'll be able to keep him awake for another two hours if he isn't ready to get up.
Right now I'm a little annoyed with him because he put his mayonnaisy little paws all over the front of one of my nicest shirts, and now it has grease stains.
I just realized I haven't uploaded any new pictures since May. That's not good. The situation is now remedied, and there are new pictures up at http://www.ansible.org/~jess/leif/.
Leif is now 26.5 months, is 35.5 inches tall (though he was leaning away from the wall a little, so probably a bit taller), and 27.8 lbs. He's talking more and more, and occasionally coming out with sentences, but he's still not a huge talker. He understands just fine, though - he can identify things I had no idea he knew anything about. He uses the potty about 90% of the time at home, and 50% of the time when we're out, but now that the initial novelty has worn off he's resisting a bit. He loves riding his bike, reading books, coloring, and the old standbys - animals and trains. Now that the weather is getting cooler, he's getting to spend more time at the playground or otherwise outdoors, which makes him very happy. Half the time he eats whatever we put in front of him, the other half it's all about crackers with mayonnaise, and nothing else will do.
Right now (6:30) he's trying to decide whether he's awake or asleep. I'm not sure which I should be rooting for.
Obligatory Picture:
