Feb. 5th, 2006 08:48 amToday's test was similarly questionable.
This particular test says to read at 3 minutes. At 3 minutes, there was a very faint line, but the color couldn't really be seen. By 5 minutes or so, there was a faint but definitely pink line.
With some tests, a negative result is not accurate after a certain amount of time (usually ten minutes) because a positive may develop regardless. I don't think that's what is happening here, but I suppose it's possible.
That's what I get for using cheap dollar store tests. And not even a respected brand of cheap dollar store tests (they were sold out of those). I can't find anything published about this one in terms of sensetivity or anything.
I have one more test, so maybe I'll take it in a few days, once the hormones have had a chance to build up some more. In any case, my body isn't doing anything that leads me to believe I might not be pregnant, so I'll take it as a yes.
(I find this all hilarious, as I've always been the person saying "A positive is a positive, no matter how faint" and rolling my eyes at people who took multiple tests after getting a positive.)
I'm not ready to announce this to the world, so please keep it quiet :)
