I made a new journal for Astrid - [livejournal.com profile] beebgirl. For those who aren't already aware, Leif's journal is [livejournal.com profile] lemurbaby.

I haven't been good about updating Leif's journal over the past year or so, but I want to make an effort to do at least one entry a week in each (feel free to get on my case if I don't), both as a keeping in touch with family thing and as a record for posterity. I'll probably be going back and doing some backdated entries as well for that purpose.

If you comment, please don't mention [livejournal.com profile] koyote or I by LJ name - I'd prefer not to have my family (with a few exceptions) reading this journal, especially without my knowledge.

I don't do reciprocal friending on that journal, since I don't post anything friends only anyways. It isn't anything personal.

(Why [livejournal.com profile] beebgirl? I'll post an entry in her journal soon explaining :))

Are any of you aware of anyone who is in need of preemie (might be newborn, but they're pretty darn small - probably up to 8 lbs or so) sized cloth diapers?

Have you posted a wishlist, or has someone you care about posted one? If so, please give me a link to it :) Even if you aren't on my friendslist and are just randomly reading this.

Maybe I'll post my own later. I always feel awkward with this type of thing, and especially this year, since there are few things I need/want that are inexpensive, and one of those few would feel aimed at the handful of people on my friends list who would be likely to have access to them, which would feel to much like asking for specific presents from individuals rather than throwing it out to the universe in general.

I made vegan mac&cheese tonight, following basically this recipe. It tasted basically mac&cheesy. I accidently left out the water, but it may have actually turned out better that way.

The verdict: Leif loved it. Debbie (who doesn't usually like homemade m&c) thought it was good. Jeff and I both thought it was ok, but had too much mustard. Mariel gagged. I'm not sure if cutting back on the mustard or eliminating it entirely would fix it, or the whole nutritional yeast thing just wouldn't work for her. [livejournal.com profile] silkensteel - there's a small serving left in the fridge if you want to try it to provide input. [livejournal.com profile] koyote - you should give the nutritional yeast a try next time you do popcorn. It's supposed to be good for that.
