Astrid, go to sleep!

Why does she do this on nights when I stay up to late?

The easy answer to both my late night and her bad sleeping is probably the lovely jasmine green tea my dad gave me. I guess that's a morning drink only.

On the good side, she's totally happy just playing away in her exersaucer.

We need to cover up all the outlets. She's totally fascinated by them and likely to be crawling within a month or so.

More spring cleaning today.

Things done:

* Cleaned the bathroom and swept most of the linoleum surfaces in the house ([livejournal.com profile] koyote helped with this).
* Put blankets away - should keep them for disaster preparedness purposes, but the few I kept out should be sufficient until next winter, even though it's still sometimes getting into the 30's at night. I also had a basket full of receiving blankets. Left about 3 and put away the rest since we aren't using them much anymore.
* Told Leif he could choose enough of his favorite soft toys to fit in the basket, and the rest would be put away, because the basket had turned into the Leaning Tower of Stuffies. Now it's only slightly overfull.
* I'm not pumping as often as I thought I would be, and the manual pump really does the job just fine, so I put away the Pump In Style and accompanying parts. But I don't want to get rid of everything since I'll probably need to pump more once I'm doing more school, because I don't want to use some form of human milk replacement after she reaches a year, especially with her dairy issues. But I can put it away for now.
* Sorted through Leif's books. He had so many that he couldn't easily see what they all are, so when he gets into them he tends to throw them all over the place. And some of them I couldn't stand reading. Now he has about a half shelf, all of which I can tolerate.
* We had a bunch of random craft stuff on top of the bookshelf. It's still there, but in a nondescript shoebox so that Leif doesn't see it and ask for it all the time. Not that I mind doing crafts, but he doesn't need a skein of yarn to carry around and spiderweb around the house.
* Put Leif's futon away in a place where I have to move it to get lay the big futon down, so maybe I'll get more in the habit of getting it out.
* Vacuumed.

Things that are still bugging me:

* Cloth. I left out a grocery bag of in-progress projects, but we have a ton of random fabric and scraps that we intend to use someday sitting around, some in a big bag under the sewing table, some in the closet.
* Baby clothing - there are three paper bags left in our room, as well as a bunch of other stuff stored away. I want these out of here! I'd like to sell or consign the nicest of the stuff, but they're off-season now. Is it worth keeping it around for 9 months until it's the right season again? A bunch of stuff is earmarked for two pregnant friends. I really hope F is having a girl so I can give the boy stuff to B, but either she doesn't know or isn't telling because I can't get an answer. I may go ahead and store them away until whoever comes to get them, just so they're out of the room. The rest of the baby stuff is stowed away already, so it's not like I wouldn't have to go get stuff anyways.
* I wish we had another dresser. Leif needs another drawer or three. Not so much because he has too much clothing for his current drawer (which he does, but just barely), but because, to get at what he wants, he digs through and throws everything on the floor, so separating it out more would be good. We currently have two four drawer dressers. One dresser has clothing. The other has a stuff drawer for each of us (Leif's holds toys, Astrid's holds diapers). If we had another dresser, Leif could have at least one more drawer, and I could have another drawer for diapers, which I'll need once she moves up to the premium prefolds, which she can do any time, but I've been holding off on because there isn't room in the drawer for them.
* Random stuff piled all over horizontal surfaces needs to be sorted through (did some of this).
* Need to put a lot of my winter clothing away. The closet is rather tight.

I'd like to have a garage sale, but I'm not sure we have enough that would be worthwhile that we want to get rid of. I'm thinking about sending a letter to the neighbors saying we plan to have a garage sale on X day and they're welcome to join in.

I think beeb is teething. She's crying an awful lot today, sometimes inconsolably. And drooling like mad, too.
