Jan. 28th, 2008 09:02 amTo do today:
1.5 page reflection on literature for English
Go to near-campus used bookstores and try my luck?
Get to downtown bookstores and see if I can find one of the books and read a few chapters (Borders claims to have it in-stock)
Order books (depending on what sort of luck I have at the used bookstores)
Watch history
Get the kids out of the house while it isn't raining
Work on reading with Leif, as he seems to want to do that today
To do for tomorrow:
1 page scene analysis for English
Questionnaire for English
I've still been mildly debating whether or not to drop the Speech class, but I'm pretty sure I will. It just throws such a wrench into my otherwise-open Monday and Wednesday. I plan to stay registered for a while, as the section I'm enrolled in will be canceled if there aren't enough people enrolled, and I have until Feb. 24th to drop without it going on my record.
I'm currently introducing Leif to Cats. I'm not sure how he likes it. It's striking me as perhaps a touch slow and unclear for a four year old, but he's watching and not complaining.
For English, our first essay is on a movie (our choice from a list). At one point, this would have been a reasonably fun assignment. Now, movie/TV watching has become a horrible chore. Of course, I'd have at least as much problem with reading a book of any length, so I shouldn't complain.
I'm trying to figure out what exactly is included in my English anthology, as, from what I've glanced at, it appears strikingly similar to the one I used for a class several years ago, and no longer have, but that increases the chances I can find it somewhere for $5 or something. Have I mentioned lately (with no offense meant to <lj user=lessaxf) that I hate the college textbook industry? I haven't been commenting much lately. I'm still reading. Just so you know.
