Things the children do
Apr. 18th, 2008 08:41 pmAt the library today, Leif found a book, and asked me if it was a Maisy book. It wasn't, but it was by the same author. I found it somewhat impressive that he can recognize an artistic style even though it probably isn't really all that impressive. Or it might be impressive if he'd asked me if something was a Picasso, and not a style used in popular children's books and movies.

Astrid seems to be getting more potty aware every day. ( Cut to spare those who don't want to read about such things )
Earlier today I heard her crying in the other room, and went to get her. We had this conversation:
Me: You sound really angry! (It was quite definitely angry-sounding upset)
Astrid: Yeah!
Me: What's wrong?
Astrid: Blanche! (
silkensteel)
Me: You're mad that Blanche because she won't let you in the bathroom? (That seemed to be the context)
Astrid: Yeah!
She's building with blocks again. She's pretty cool.
