(no subject)

Reading through this thread (I'm currently on page 80 of 127) convinces me even more that I want to make that dress. There are way more adorable, flattering combinations than not, and most of the ones I find unattractive are fabric choice or tying method, and not anything inherently wrong with the dress itself. I may have to detour to a fabric store on the way to class tomorrow...

I did find some fabric that is probably sufficient, but it isn't stretchy at all, and not an ideal color (light lavendar). I am try it with that just to see how it goes if I feel like it later today.

I got approximately $200 worth of mostly brand new K-2 workbooks for $5 at a garage sale yesterday (33 total, enough to fill one of those file boxes full). A resident of the house had worked for a tutoring center and had about 6 file boxes full that he didn't have any use for. I don't think workbooks are the end-all and be-all of education, but Leif enjoys them, and one of the smaller books costs more than that on it's own. I need to go through and sort out the ones that I don't want him randomly grabbing and using (like the 2nd grade oriented ones).

I'm afraid my computer may need repairs for the keyboard problem (which has caused me to correct this sentence 6789 times while typing it. Do I have a warranty? I may go ahead and install the powermac we have sitting around later today just in case. The nice thing about having all data on external drives is that, if this does end up being the case, it really isn't a huge deal at all. Yay!
