Bay Area is the general urban area around the San Francisco Bay, extending south to San Jose. So a pretty big area, really.
The train has a bunch of stops nearish to SF. If you can tell me where you'll be staying, how you're getting around (are you renting a car or doing public transportation?), and how much free time you'll have, and I'll see if we can figure out a good plan. Did you want to try to get any of the other locals together, or just low-key?
