Current ponderances that I don't have time to write about in detail:

* Possibility of allergies vs. tumor as cause of my recent tendency towards ear infections (those seem to be the most common causes of recurrent ear infections in adults who weren't previously prone to them. My infection last year was at the same time of year (within two weeks) and on the other side if I remember right, adding weight to the allergy theory).

* Was my experience with harsh behavior from aikido instructor a positive, negative, or neutral experience in regards to my current reactions to clinical instructor? (Who I'm not trying to claim is at anywhere near the same level of harshness) Did it improve my coping (meaning I would be a complete wreck by now without it, rather than just a partial wreck), or am I suffering from aikido-PTSD? Or are my current troubles simply manifestations of the same underlying issue(s) that caused problems in aikido?

What defines 'recurrent' when it comes to ear infections?

No clue. Probably more than once a year, but twice within (just slightly over) a year, having not had them previously, seems significant to me.

If they are in the same ear, I'd put it down to damage caused by the first infection, which was pretty serious. But I really think the other one was in my right ear.

Doc Pham says everyone's allergies get worse around here no matter what. I'd suggest that the ear infections are a stress thing that messes with your sleep right around the time you get sick.

Needless to say, I'm still amazed at how well you're doing. In school, etc.
