Purple

Purple potatos are one of the most wonderful foods ever. Right up there with fractal brocolli.

They're purple all the way through, not just on the outside, so baked potatos are filled with lovely fluffy purple stuff.

They're so pretty :)



Now I am eating homemade mixed berry chocolate chip ice cream. It is purple, too. And yummy.

The local food co-op. They have a lot of strange stuff. Though if I remember right, the purple potatos have something to do with local soil. They have purple brocolli, too, but I don't find it nearly as entertaining for some reason. It doesn't look quite as unnatural.

Purple potatoes are Peruvian. We used to pick them up from Cosentino's in San Jose and then the Safeway in Tracy had them. They are good. Kroger's has them as well.
