eh, i felt same when our 8 month old kitten died despite everything we tried (he had feline leukemia). Don't let their passing make you feel useless, you tried everything you could do and sometimes it just doesn't work. Better that you did try, than to have left them to die without intervention. after the kitten died I never ever wanted to be responsible for a human baby, but now here I am with a four year old. it'll work out.
