So much to procrastinate on, so little time...

I'm drinking a butterscotch latte right now. It's kind of gross. Of course, coffee in general is kinda gross. Up until about a month ago I avoided it like the plague, and then one day I drank a cup for some reason, and now I'm addicted.

The caramel flavors are better. And mochas are better than lattes. (So why'd I get this? It was on their list of reccomended drinks, and I was curious)

My grandparents are visiting this evening. I haven't seen them in nearly a year now, and then it was only for an hour or so, when I did a drive-by visit at our yearly family gathering. Then they were supposed to stop by last year, but my grandfather went and had a stroke. This trip is the delay of that trip.

I have rather mixed feelings about this visit - I've never been very close to them, and I suspect it'll be somewhat uncomfortable. On the other hand, they're getting older, as is evidenced by my grandfather's stroke. And I've been reminded lately how lucky I am to have family.

I'm taking a math placement test tomorrow, which I haven't studied nearly enough for. I could probably get through the algebra and trig just fine with a few hours of review. Ah well - I'll try cramming tonight, though cramming for math (or anything else, for that matter) isn't usually the most effective strategy.

I'm hoping to get into precalculus. I could probably use the review of Trig if I get stuck with that again, but I'd really like to just get on with my math life and get it over with. And if I get stuck in Algebra II again for the 4th time because I'd forgot stuff that I really know and procrastinated about reviewing, I'll... um... beat my head against the wall for a while and curse my stupidity.

On the good side, my work inbox is down to <100, not all of which needs to be acted on.

Now Reading: Maus, by Art Spiegelman. It's a graphic novel about the Holocaust, which I've read before but discovered used at the campus bookstore and decided I needed a copy of.

Now Listening To: PS, by Toad The Wet Sprocket. In particular, "I will not take these things for granted", which I didn't like, but which has really grown on me, as have most songs on the CD.

Now Working On: Updating the installation instructions for the AFS client, which I really should have done ages ago.
