It's certainly encouraging us to be cleaner, as he goes straight for anything on the floor (or low chairs, apparently. He's currently after a pile of magazines, but I don't think he quite has the leverage to grab anything).
On the plus side, he will now happily play on his own for long periods of time. I don't know if this will last once he gets used to the house and it isn't one big toy anymore, but it's nice to be able to get something done without constant fussing.
