Boots!

Went supply shopping today. On a whim, we stopped into Big 5 (sporting goods store). Didn't really expect to get anything, but they had a great sale on boots. We both got nice Levi's leather boots, which ordinarily cost about $90, for $20/pair. I also got a second pair of ordinary cheapo hiking boots for $10 (down from about $40).

I'm quite happy - I expected to pay significantly more than that for boots this winter :)
