Leif's birth story
Jul. 23rd, 2003 05:39 pmLeif was born on June 29, 2003. He was 6 lb 11 oz, 18.5 inches long, and had a full head of reddish-brown hair.

Jul. 23rd, 2003 08:35 pmLeif is either going through a growth spurt, has caught his first cold (he was a temperature of 99.7), or both. He wants to nurse constantly (about every hour). When he's not nursing, he's fussing most of the time. He hasn't slept much today. I'm pretty tired.
He's asleep on my lap right now. I hope it lasts for a little while.
He's definetly growing, though. Christof came home the other day and said "He's changed!" Apparently he grew noticably while Christof was at work. He's getting stronger, and scoots himself around in his bed quite a bit. I never knew 3 week old babies could move so well.
He sleeps pretty well at night (when he isn't going through a growth spurt, anyways), between 3-5 hours at a stretch.
We got his cloth diapers yesterday, and are going to start experimenting with them tomorrow.
We need to get a bunch more pictures posted. I'll do that sometime. Just like I'll finish unpacking, respond to email, write thank you notes, vacuum the floor, and everything else that needs to be done "sometime".
