(no subject)
Feb. 15th, 2005 11:38 amI ended up not going in to jury duty. There was enough evidence that they don't actually do anything the first time you skip that I decided just to just call in once the office opened and save myself an hour commute at 6:30AM. Which turned out to be fine - I just had to send the letter in by Friday.
So it is sent, and I will be exempt from jury duty for at least a year.
As a side note, you really shouldn't advertise a phone line as 24 hours when it's actually only open 10:30AM - 4:00PM on weekdays that aren't holidays. A recording that gives no information other than "Call back during business hours" doesn't count.
Yay.
We are headed back to LA today which, I have to admit, I'm not entirely looking forward to. I get spoiled here, with Internet access and television and a private shower. Though it's kind of funny, since I wasn't crazy about coming here in the first place.
Probably good, though. Leif has learned how to scramble up the back of the couch onto the bookshelf and open the dryer door and climb inside. Just as well my dad doesn't see these new tricks - he's not a fan of that type of thing.
