Jan. 26th, 2007 03:43 pmSo, after all the hassle of getting registered, and after a
lessaxf was kind enough to help me get the books - the class was cancelled.
And then the registration system wouldn't let me log in, and someone else took the one remaining spot in another section during the ten minutes I couldn't log in.
I'll go on Monday anyways, and hope that missing the first week of class is OK, and that the professor lets me in. And then maybe Tuesday if Monday doesn't work, but it's a much worse time.
Los Rios district classes started two weeks ago, so I don't think trying to get in there is a workable option.
The problem here is that there are three class which have to be taken in sequence. Unit-wise, I could probably get through all the prerequisites in two semesters, but because of these classes, it has to be three, and they have to be in a specific order. So I want to get started ASAP, since each semester is half a year. I may try to do one during the summer, but summer classes are so short that it would be really tough.
In an odd stroke of luck - it appears that the professor of the Monday class is in
koyote's hapkido class. So maybe it will work out.
Anyways, since the class today wasn't on, we went to the library, where I got James And The Giant Peach for Leif, since we're about a night or two from done with Charlotte's Web, and now he's running around at the park. He's wearing snow boots (it's about 65F) which are a few sizes too big, but he loves them, and they aren't falling off and he isn't tripping, so I guess they're ok. Need to drag him away soon, as it's starting to get dark, and he's the only one of us dressed well for when it gets chillier.
