Unfortunately, it seems that any caffeine these days is keeping my brain racing at night.

I like our church. This morning, Astrid was fussy and started crying shortly after the service started. I was wearing a nursing shirt I wasn't used to, and had a hard time getting the boob out, and was almost to the point of leaving and dealing with it outside when I managed to get her latched on. She stopped mid-cry, and people laughed.

I've never received anything but positive comments about her nursing or the infrequent noises she makes. So different from most other stories I hear about babies in churches.

Sensei didn't teach waving-around-a-stick-barefoot-in-a-field-in-the-morning today. I wonder if I would have made it nearly as far through the first kata as I did if I'd had to deal with his high-pressure style? On the other hand, I might have learned less steps, but I'd probably be more technically proficient at them.

Leif is currently waving his leg in the air in his sleep, like he's doing water ballet.
