ocelotI just cut memorable bits off of three t-shirts that I've been dragging around because of the sentimental value, despite being old, ratty, and too big, and stuck them in my memory box (which I reorganized while I was at it - if I have no clue why I kept it or what meaning it had, it got taken out and thrown away or given to Leif and Mariel). Then I threw the rest of the shirts away.
Then I realized that I've been wanting more cloth wipes, and here's a bunch of nice soft fabric that's otherwise going to end up in the trash, so I rescued them.
Using my shirts of high sentimental value for wiping up poop seems a bit wrong. But I can't think of a good reason not to when I'm just going to throw them away anyways.
Actually, it looks like they may end up in the trash after all, as I found a hideous pair of plaid pajama pants that I was saving for the same purpose, and they'll make better wipes anyways. On the other hand, I'm not planning to hem them, and so t-shirt material might hold up better.
Can you tell I'm having a cleaning day?
We found Leif a dinosaur costume at the thrift store, so if the notebook costume doesn't happen or looks horrible, at least we have something. I fear this means we'll end up not even trying on the notebook, though.![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
koyote has 6237992183 other things to do, and I don't exactly have a ton of time with two hands free myself (or artistic ability, for that matter). But I don't really want to do that, because it's really cool that he came up with the notebook idea, and he's really focused on being one.
