ocelotI took the assessment tests today. Whoo fun. I don't have to take remedial English, and I have to take Intermediate Algebra for the 57th time. Except that, as far as I can tell, it isn't actually a prerequisite for anything I do need to take. So there!
I'm way too much of a perfectionist. I actually spent ages trying to solve the problems before clicking on a random answer, rather than just clicking on a random answer as soon as it was clear I couldn't solve the damn thing off the top of my head.
Anyways, this allows me to enroll in Speech, at 7:30 in the morning. Public speaking - just how everyone wants to start their day! But it means the school day is over at 11:45, so that's good. And I'll drop it again if I can make it into one of the lab science classes. I've emailed the professors of the most promising sections to see if they'll accept my personal copy of my AP test scores (yay for me for being anal about keeping them!) as proof of prerequisite, since there's no chance to get the real transcripts sent. And if they won't accept it, I'll go to the counseling office the first day I'm on campus next week and see if the AP class really covers the prerequisite, and if *they'll* accept my personal transcript. And if they won't accept the class, I'll try to get myself into Biology 15, which doesn't have a math prerequisite, so I don't have to transfer my grades or do Intermediate Algebra for the 57th time! Yay plan!
I think I'm also going to stalk the system and see if someone drops History, and I can get into it as an online class instead of a televised class, because the televised class thing is just wacko. I may also try to find something I need to take other than speech that meets at a more reasonable time if I can't take a lab science.
Astrid just woke up from a three hour nap, and that makes me nervous (in a "she's not going to sleep tonight and I'm tired!" way) this time of day.
