Sep. 3rd, 2007 07:33 pmI have too many projects.
Someone in my physiology class wanted me to make him a pair of baby shoes. The parts are all cut out (except for the decoration/elastic cover, which isn't needed until the very end) and the initial machine sewing done. Now I just have to stitch the tops and bottoms together. I don't have much sewing time during class this week, but I should get those done next Monday if I sew only during class.
Then I need to do another pair for the
octbabies2006 gift exchange, though I may rethink that and do something else. I have till around Oct. 1 for that, though I can easily get them done sooner. I think next weekend I should get a bunch of parts cut out and prepped for sewing during class.
I want to make a new carrier. Soon. The ones I have just ain't cuttin' it.
I think I want to try converting prefold diapers to fitted diapers. Or contour diapers, anyways - I can keep fastening them with a snappi.
Kids need Halloween costumes. Leif wants to be a red ball. No clue what to do with Beeb.
Leif wants a pair of shoes. Maybe I can make this part of his costume if he decides not to be a red ball.
And then today I found this nursing top. Wow. I need to make that. It would probably even make an ok pirate top. Not that I've ever actually used.a nursing top, but it's just too cool. And simple looking. I can do simple.
And then there's that pesky little studying thing I have to work in there at some point...

Sometimes I've learned I should have told myself, "not yet".
Take care of yourself, Arachne.

Date: 2007-09-04 06:13 am (UTC)I believe the party starts in the evening....but if my days' activities run too late for me to get ready, I may blow this one off.
You....go and enjoy, mit or mit out baby. Sit on laps.

Date: 2007-09-04 03:23 am (UTC)Have you posted pictures of the shoes you make?
I should probably start making the slippers I have planned for the girls soon. If I wait until it's cold enough to be in the mood, they'll have to walk around with cold feet for weeks before I finish them. (I think they're supposed to be a fast project, but this will be my first sock-like knitting thing, so it will probably take me quite a while by the time I figure out what I'm supposed to be doing and go back and redo all the mistake areas.)

Date: 2007-09-04 04:21 am (UTC)The current pair will definitely have pictures taken if they turn out halfway decent, which they'd better, as I'm getting paid for it!
