I have too many projects.

Someone in my physiology class wanted me to make him a pair of baby shoes. The parts are all cut out (except for the decoration/elastic cover, which isn't needed until the very end) and the initial machine sewing done. Now I just have to stitch the tops and bottoms together. I don't have much sewing time during class this week, but I should get those done next Monday if I sew only during class.

Then I need to do another pair for the [livejournal.com profile] octbabies2006 gift exchange, though I may rethink that and do something else. I have till around Oct. 1 for that, though I can easily get them done sooner. I think next weekend I should get a bunch of parts cut out and prepped for sewing during class.

I want to make a new carrier. Soon. The ones I have just ain't cuttin' it.

I think I want to try converting prefold diapers to fitted diapers. Or contour diapers, anyways - I can keep fastening them with a snappi.

Kids need Halloween costumes. Leif wants to be a red ball. No clue what to do with Beeb.

Leif wants a pair of shoes. Maybe I can make this part of his costume if he decides not to be a red ball.

And then today I found this nursing top. Wow. I need to make that. It would probably even make an ok pirate top. Not that I've ever actually used.a nursing top, but it's just too cool. And simple looking. I can do simple.

And then there's that pesky little studying thing I have to work in there at some point...

That's brilliant. And so are you.

But from experience, learn to tell some folks "not yet".
Sometimes I've learned I should have told myself, "not yet".

Take care of yourself, Arachne.

Telling myself "not yet" is definitely the bigger problem here :)

Was going to mention that you and I need to do a meet up;

but I think I'll wait to suggest that until both our schedules are less strange.

Will you be at the party Saturday? We probably will, and are leaving Astrid at home this time, so I'll be a little less tied down.

I hope to, but I'm not sure.

I believe the party starts in the evening....but if my days' activities run too late for me to get ready, I may blow this one off.

You....go and enjoy, mit or mit out baby. Sit on laps.

Rowena is awesome. I always looked forward to her FO posts on NMSL. :-)

Have you posted pictures of the shoes you make?

I should probably start making the slippers I have planned for the girls soon. If I wait until it's cold enough to be in the mood, they'll have to walk around with cold feet for weeks before I finish them. (I think they're supposed to be a fast project, but this will be my first sock-like knitting thing, so it will probably take me quite a while by the time I figure out what I'm supposed to be doing and go back and redo all the mistake areas.)

This is the pair I made for a friend who is having a baby. That was the second pair. After that, I made a pair for Astrid that is basically identical, but with purple edging. I should probably take a picture, but they're already scuffed up and dirty :) The first pair never really got finished - a friend decided she liked the looks of them with the elastic showing, so I never put something over it.

The current pair will definitely have pictures taken if they turn out halfway decent, which they'd better, as I'm getting paid for it!

Very cool. I really like the contrasting band of accent fabric.
