Would anyone like to come over for sewing/socializing/hot chocolate/soup/whatever this afternoon/evening? After 4PM or so, as I suppose I'll be dragging myself to aikido and need to do a touch of cleaning first.

We have a sewing machine (and a little handheld one that may or may not work if batteries are stuck in it), related supplies, and whatever random fabric that doesn't have an intended use, that you're welcome to use. If it looks like more than one person will be sewing heavily and you have an easily portable machine, you might want to bring it. Potluck food/drink (dairy/wheat free) is welcome, but by no means required.

Some aspect of brewing will probably be happening at the same time.

In other news, Astrid took a few steps unassisted today (I think she's done it a few times before, but this is the first time I've seen it).

It didn't. I'm not upset - it was very short notice. I'll schedule something more in advance once the weather gets more consistently chilly and inviting for such things.
