Our afternoon fun
Dec. 26th, 2007 04:48 pmEvery year we get a gingerbread house kit from Ikea. Every year we fail to actually do anything about it, and end up eating the pieces sometime in late January. This year we decided to be different, and took advantage of the post-Christmas sales to stock up on candy for decorating:

Leif has reached the stage of not being able to smile naturally for the camera.

Proof that, at one point, we had a reasonably intact house. Several of the pieces had come broken, probably due to being shaken by a certain child who will remain unnamed. We plastered it together as best as we could with cardboard and frosting, and managed to get it to stand up...

...But not for long!

The insurance appraiser (Orange-headed gumdrop man) arrives, and informs the owner that unfortunately his policy does not cover Acts of Leifthulhu.
As a side note, Longs Drugs already has Valentine's Day candy out.
