We still have no power, along with 350,000 other people in the area.

We went out to the store (they had generators). Everyone seemed to be really enjoying the drama, smiling and waving at passing cars as they cleaned up their yards.

At the store, it was obvious from people's carts who had power and who didn't. Stocking up on milk and ice cream? Probably power. Bottled water and firewood? Probably not.

We still have gas, so we still have heat, stove, and hot water. Yay! We also have lots of candles, propane lanterns, and so on.

One ETA we've heard for power returning was as early as 7pm, which we're past now. The other was Tuesday.

Our back fence (which was hit by a car a year ago and never properly repaired) is down, and one window broken.

Leif is having the hardest time of it. He's upset that he can't watch a movie.

From the general silence of localish people on my friends list, I'm guessing others of you are powerless, too. I hope you're doing well.

We're not sure. No one was in the house at the time... And it broke outwards. Which is good as there isn't glass all over the floor, but a little baffling as far as figuring out the cause.

Wow! That's really strange! The only thing I can think of that would cause that is the actually movement of your house from the wind being so much that it forced the window. Yikes!

We were out of power too for several hours. We lucked out though because we were one of the first groups out, so we were also one of the first groups repaired. I'm so thankful. Absolutely everything except our water is electric here. I had to borrow a camp stove in order to cook. We have no fireplace. But, we got off easy, because over a million people in the foothills are still out. That basically means everyone but us.
