I've been in a kitchen mood the past few days.

Wednesday Leif and I made banana chocolate chip muffins (gluten-free, from gluten-free pancake mix. I wouldn't recommend it). Friday we made almond milk, a new gallon of cold-brewed coffee, and lactation cookies for my doula client (and us, too) (not gluten or dairy-free). Today we made pancakes (normal), pumpkin pie (gluten and dairy free, from here, using normal eggs and a mix of coconut and almond milk, with cornmeal for flour. It turned out well.), oyster soup/stew/gumbo/something (which turned out very well, and several people who don't normally like the original ingredients enjoyed it), salad, and filtered the cold-brewed coffee.

Yum.

I've decided that the lollipop factory in Muchkinland must not be a very safe place to work, with all their representatives having partial facial paralysis. Remind me not to get lollipops from there.

Well I can't entirely blame an unproductive day on you...but the fact I went meandering all over Fat Free Vegan blog, bookmarking as I went, did not help.

Well, it helped I found a recipe for fake mac-cheeze sauce. I *like* homemade mac n cheese, but I used to keep trying vegan ones that used nutritional yeast.

And the tofu quiches. And the mini tamales. And the garden pies.

I noticed she used and egg substitute in her squash pie recipe. When you made yours with eggs, how many did you use? We aren't off eggs (although I do like egg substitute recipes when I'm trying to balance my egg use during the week---still have high cholestrol.)

I can't say they were my most favorite cookies ever, but they were definitely edible.

Do these actually work? Now that we're TTC I'm already thinking ahead to breast-feeding. I had so much trouble last time. I know a lot of it was her being early and not being able to hold her for 2 months or breast feed her ever, but I worry that that wasn't the only reason.

No clue! It does contain a bunch of stuff that are supposed to be galactogogues, and some people claim to notice a major difference, but I didn't notice any myself. Of course, I didn't eat a whole batch or anything either.
