Oct. 10th, 2001 02:22 pmThis morning, I was listening to my voice mail, and got a message from the tech guy at the bookstore computer shop asking for new CDs of one of our products, because the old ones seemed to have errors.
Ok, fine. However, as luck would have it, I'm already heading over there today to drop off the first CD in the set, which I've just updated the license on. So, knowing that we've had times in the past where they haven't exactly been clear on what the problem is that needs to be fixed, I decide to ask him to try this disk before I go through the hassle of making the new disks.
He's agreeable to this. In fact, he says, it was simply *one copy* of the disk that had errors, and they hadn't checked to see if the masters worked correctly, so maybe it would be a good idea to check the masters, first.
Nah, really?
