I really don't want to go back to school tomorrow. It's starting to hit me that, though I finished one semester, I have three more to go which are going to be more difficult than the first.

In one year I'll be done, which seems like both forever and no time whatsoever.

It's relatively accepted that third semester is the hardest, but opinions on the other semesters seems to vary. Some people do find the adjustment of first semester to be the hardest part. Hopefully that will be the case!

I'm feeling a little better today. It's become clear that my clinical instructor last semester was pushing us harder than was strictly necessary. Not necessarily a bad thing, because I'm not feeling completely intimidated by the changes (so far) this semester, but it did add extra anxiety last semester, when the rules were changed on us every time we started to get used to things.

Only one person (disregarding a person or two who dropped out within the first few days and were replaced from the alternates) didn't finish first semester. Everyone else passed. Apparently 49 of the original 55 in the class above us graduated. (That's a good thing about the program being so hospital-funded. They have a real interest in wanting us to succeed.)
