I want a bookshelf.

No more than 16.5" wide (wider might work out, but would require rearranging the room. Preferably at least 5 feet tall, and taller is better. 9-12" deep. Adjustable shelves, or with at least a few shelves at least a foot apart.

That is what I need!

The narrow width of Ikea's Billy series fits the description, if I recall correctly.

I was going to say the same thing. We have two of the narrow ones and they're a little under 16 inches wide, with adjustable shelves. They fit the height requirement, and we added the height extension on, too.

Yep, it does. On first glance through the IKEA website, I only found it with the glass door attached, which really isn't what I want for this purpose, but I looked again and found it.

Probably not yet. It's moving season soon. If something doesn't turn up within the next month or so, maybe.

(Also, reorganizing the room to make way for a larger, more commonly available bookshelf may be a better option. I'm not sure yet.)
