Well, that was fun.

Leif usually poops about four times a day. This is a little annoying, since it feels like he's pooping all the time.

But it also means we rarely have big poops to deal with.

Lately he's been slowing down a bit. The result is a Major Poop Event.

I don't think we've ever had a Poop Event quite this bad before.

He was fussing a little, so I picked him up. I discovered he was fussing because he was absolutely covered in poop and spit up. I would have been fussing, too, probably a lot louder.

How he managed this while sitting right next to me without me noticing is beyond me.

Seeing as he was covered in poop and spit up, I became covered in it, too.

We dumped him in the bath, where he very happily splashed around till he was clean. He likes baths. We then did a load of laundry.

I hope that this is not an indication that he's sick.

If he's not sick, and this turns out to be a regular thing, I imagine it will make EC much more motivating.

I'm afraid he is getting sick, though. He's awfully sleepy and grumpy today.

I want to buy [livejournal.com profile] lemurbaby a paid account and make a phone post of him babbling for Christmas, but there's no way I'm going to manage to explain .ogg files to my family, so what's the point?

I can't take his Christmas picture either, because our tree burned out. That sounds wrong. We have this fiber optics Christmas tree, and the lightbulb burnt out. I'm debating whether to bother or not. I'm making a calendar for my family, and just need a December picture. I could stick something non-seasonal in there instead. But it's not going to get there before Christmas at this point anyways, so I guess I'll just wait and see if I can get a good picture within the next few days.

Maybe one of Leif surrounded by piles of wrapping paper.

But the other thing I wanted to do was make an online holiday card thing, since we haven't managed to send out Christmas cards this year. Ugh. I'll think of something.

I'm so far behind on everything.

How in the world do you gift wrap stuffed animals (besides sticking them in a bag)?

a) we call that a "poo-splosion"... they happen around here occasionally. Kira's about a 2x a day girl... but sometimes it's like "wowza!! how did all of that come out of such a little baby!"

b) Here... I'll give you a Holiday Card I made for online friends a couple of years back - feel free to save it, and post it on your own website if you want and send it to your family...

Bearing in mind that this is constrained for here - the real size is 800x600 - but you can modify it if you want...

Maybe use it as a starting point... :) or not... your call, just trying to take some of the stress off!! :)

Maylie was having explosive solid-pieces-of-beans type poop before and those would be a suprise. Even though now she doesn't come up to me and say POOPY or anything, if she's in the same room as me and starting to grunt, I know she has to poop and I grab her and put her on the potty and she poops. Once or twice a day. It's fewer poops to clean up that's for sure. :-)

Debbie had an Explosive Bowel Movement during her naming ceremony. EBMs can be a real stealth weapon.
