Yesterday Leif suddenly cracked up laughing at the cat, who was bathing. Every time he looked at her for the next several minutes, he cracked up again.

It's so fun to watch him develop a personality. Until recently, he didn't laugh unless we were purposefully doing something funny.

He really likes his sippy cup. He's figured out that if he does something right, water comes out, but he can't quite get it right all the time. He'll happily sit there for quite a while, frantically chewing away at the spout, trying to get water out. I think he'll have more success once he figures out that if he holds both handles, he'll have better control over the cup.

He's getting closer to crawling. He'll go on all fours for a little while, but can't figure out what to do from there.

I just grabbed him an old keyboard to bang on (since he didn't want to stop banging on mine), and he's having a blast. We're doomed.

For Debbie, we set up an old terminal and keyboard on the floor. Not attached to anything, no function other than to show the letters as she banged on the keyboard. She was crawling age at that point.

Hi, Jessica! It IS fun to read this; thanks for posting stuff. I love the bike picture! Looks like he will take after his mom & dad, banging on the keyboard. So he's laughing! I bet it's such a delight to hear that. Certainly I loved hearing you and Nathan laugh and coo and chortle. I agree the high-pitched shrieks aren't so much fun...I hope swimming continues well. Do you yourself get a chance to swim? How many kids/moms are in the class? Love, Mom
