After Aikido today, I talked to the new student, and she expressed the same thing I'd been feeling - feeling bad when she did something wrong and got yelled at, and then worse when the person working with her got yelled at for not teaching her well enough. Which is kind of funny, because I saw the guy she was working with get yelled at and felt better, since that means it probably wasn't entirely my incompetence getting him yelled at when he was working with me.

Then the senior student in question told us we were both doing fine. Whoo!

I am kind of curious how many students he scares off, and glad I was warned about his teaching style ahead of time - I doubt I'd have survived the second class if not.
