change

Today was a day of change.

My bonehead math class ended tonight. As much as I'll be glad to not be spending every evening in class and spending godawful amounts of time on homework, I'm kind of sorry it's over. By the end, the class was down to 11 people, and we were pretty close knit. I'll miss the people, and the socialization, and just being busy.

Of course, it's only a two week break. Still, it's a loss. I'll probably never see these people again.

I find the brief periods of time when lives overlap fascinating. Fascinating and a bit disturbing.

Today was also the last day of work for my co-worker/friend. Not quite sure what I'll do without him there to bug for advice and eat lunch with. He won't be able to sneak up behind me and scare me anymore. We'll no longer be the subject of misplaced gossip amongst our co-workers.

Will we stay friends? Or will the 9 months that we've known each other just be one of those brief overlaps?

Wow, I'm being melodramatic as hell tonight. I think I'll go fix something to eat and continue listening to Christmas music at high volume.
