I finished the girly shoes. I'm killing myself with cute, if I do say so myself.

More and more, I'm getting the impression Beeb is going to be a handful as she grows older.

She's understood "no" for a surprisingly long time. You say "No Beeb" and shake your head, and she'll stop doing whatever it was (albeit with increasingly less frequency).

Now she shakes her head no when she doesn't want to do something.

This evening, I said "Ok, time to come play in the bedroom with me." She shook her head. I asked "You don't want to play in here?" She shook her head again. I asked "Do you want to go play with Auntie Blanche?", and she turned around and happily crawled off in that direction.

She's 11 months old.

Looking back over my notes, we've covered an amazing amount in two weeks of class (physiology). 6 chapters. WTF. Despite that, I'm going to do excellent on these tests tomorrow, because I'm the master of positive thinking and all that.

Honestly, I expect this to be the hardest test, partially because I didn't have the book to study until today, partially because I have no clue how difficult the test will be, and therefore no way of estimating how much I need to know. And since the information seems more breadth than cumulative (with a few exceptions), a bit of weakness on these areas isn't likely to have a snowball effect like in math or chemistry.

I now feel reasonably comfortable changing a bike tire, having done it twice on my own in the past few days. The first time, I patched the hole properly, but either didn't catch the other two holes nearby, or I put new holes in while trying to get it all back together. This time, I got a slimed tube (since thorns are endemic at the moment, along with flies and ants and heat. Late summer in Davis = plagues of Biblical proportions). It seems to be holding air. Hopefully it will continue to do so. And the rear tire too, for that matter.
