Sep. 5th, 2007 08:29 amI woke up this morning to a light breeze outside my window. Thankfully, I have the experience to know that light breeze at my house = hurricane outside city limits. So I get to bus it today, which is seeming a better and better choice all the time, now that it's turning into a hurricane within city limits, too. This is just slight hyperbole, but the wind is definitely enough to make a ride pretty much directly into it nearly impossible to accomplish, at least in a timely manner.
It's horribly smokey too, and my lungs are getting yucky just walking around. Riding would have been bad.
There is a robin(?) in the grass patch across from me, pulling copious amounts of worms out of the ground.
I saw a guy riding a penny-farthing (bike with a huge front wheel and tiny back wheel) on the way here.
Key lime flavored soy yogurt amazingly doesn't taste like vomit, unlike other soy yogurts I've tried in the past. It tastes like yogurt! Or perhaps I'm just more tolerant of the soy flavor now.
The bus ride gives me lots of unexpected time to study, assuming I stop this LJ posting :)
The girl next to me has a little kitty who she's trying, unsuccessfully, to keep quiet. It is adorable.
