May. 4th, 2007 11:28 pmI looked at last month's entry before writing this update, and realized that I was going to write almost the exact same thing. Astrid is still really close to crawling, except this time she really is. She gets up on all fours and pushes, but she hasn't quite got the traction yet and ends up going backwards. Then she cries because she's just getting further and further away from whatever it was she wanted to get. Still, she's close. If I put her down somewhere, I'll magically find her getting into something I thought was out of her reach.
Still no teeth, but I still think she's teething.
She likes bananas and apples and melon and probably anything else we'd be willing to feed her. Well, except avocado. She wasn't crazy about that at all. I made her some banana popsicles during the recent heatwave, and she gobbled that.
She's suddenly become even more vocal and awake, and we're starting to have a harder time taking her places that worked fine before. On the other hand, if I fill a basket with toys and set it within her reach, she'll happily sit on the floor and play for an amazingly long period of time.
Here's The Beeb in a dress I made for her:
