Astrid's hair is darker than we thought yesterday, possibly even black. Where in the world did she get that from?

I'm feeling sad because I didn't feel this way (happy and connected) with Leif during his early days.

Our music pastor has 3 kids, all of whom were born with jet black hair, and by 6 months on, all have very blond hair! Both parents have fair hair.

Please keep in touch (time permitting) about the sad. I know how hard it can be {{hugs}}.

Oh, overall I'm really happy. I just wish I'd felt this way with Leif, too. I don't know if it's because of being a second time parent or less separation or something else entirely, but it's just easier to connect this time.

4 months pp I still feel the same way about my second. I wish I had gone through what I am going through now with him. Its almost like a mourning of "should" have been. Hind sight is always 20/20...((hugs))....she still nursing like crazy? (:

Wow! This is what I get for being offline for a few days. Congratulations! **huggss** (I knew it wa a girl.. let's just see if my other friends' babies predictions pan out).

Your post makes it seem like you are sad, but you mean to say are happy, right? How is it different this time around? Easier? Defiantely a better birth, it seems.

Wow, a little gal! I would almost offer Brenna's old clothes, but she'd probably outgrow them in a day. Hmm.. still noone to give Brenna's old clothes to yet. Oh well. I have a feeling we'll need them again some day.

I love the name, very pretty. Apparently Scandinavian for "divine strength". Yay dictionary.com!
We don't tell people our names either much, since last time noone liked any of them. I think we even got a few naysayers for 'Brenna Rose'. Brenna Rose clicked for us at the ultraound, even though we had 5 others we liked. I don't think we'll have the option of not knowing the sex. We're not sure if we want to next time. Really if eveything had been fine the first time we weren't going to the second time, but it wasn't fine and since I'm high risk I think the temptation to fid out at one of my millions of ultrasounds will be too great. Lol, my name for our next daughter I know all of our family will think is weird.. that and it's very unusual; I don't want anyone to steal it. :D

I know a little girl who was very dark when she was born, but her hair is about as blonda as yours now, her mother's being a darker blonde. Her eyes were also blue and are now dark brown, but looking at you, Cristoff, and Leif, I would think blue would stay? I knew another two little girls, sisters, whose baby pictures looked identical except one stayed dark-haired when she got older and the other went blonde.
I am the only redhead on either side of my family, out of all of my aunts/uncles, and cousins, cousins kids. Well, my grandmother and Brenna were also redheads, but I'm the only living redhead and since Brenna came from me, well, not sure if that counts. My immediate family all has black/brown hair and blue green or hazel eyes(well, my dad has brown, but I don't count him.. hehe) I used to pretend I was a changeling. Yay.. hair.

One more hair thing, for fun. When I was as new-born born my hair was red-orange like Brenna's with white tips and my aunt(dad's sister) said to my mother while she was in the hospital, "I told you not to douche with Clorox!"
