(no subject)

Last night I was cutting up bell peppers for salad. I looked at one of the rings, and mentioned to silkensteel that they'd be really cute to fry an egg in. She agreed that sounded like a good idea, and we'd have to do that someday.

The next few slices I cut were so perfectly shaped that "someday" turned into "right now"



Unfortunately, when I offered it to Leif, he looked at them dubiously and asked, "Is that tomato?" (None of our family is crazy about tomato). I told him no, it was pepper, and he declared that he did not like pepper, and refused to eat them, even after I told him he could pop the egg part out.

So much for cute food encouraging kids to eat their veggies :)

We unfortunately don't do much in the way of wheat around here. Last time I made Leif pancakes, I made them all out of egg, and that would just kind of defeat the purpose in this case, wouldn't it?
