Sep. 17th, 2007 09:35 pmAh, it's 9:00 and both kids are asleep. Time to relax and... Do my history! Joy!
Occasionally I have moments of "exactly how long am I going to be doing this?" This is one of them.
History has improved in the past few weeks, since he's stopped the Clan Of The Cave Bear stuff and started with anti-materialism/Dominionism/Bush stuff. And he's Catholic, but doesn't gloss over Catholic history. Yay. He does have that sort of paternalistic brand of feminism going. The type that guys raised in a heavily paternal society who really wants to be feminist but can't quite overcome his upbringing have.
The class is tough. Watching the lectures and writing the summaries is not hard, but it's time consuming, and basically impossible to do while the kids are awake. I got today's summary in at 8:05. I hope he accepts it (due at 8:00).
I sorted out the clothing, and have one bag of boy clothing going to freecycle, 3 bags of girl clothing for a friend who just had a baby. So happy to be getting them out of the house :) Beeb has a drawer full of fall-ish clothing, and two bags of winter clothing waiting for the weather to change further. Leif has a few more things that were hiding in the trunk, but he isn't growing out of things so fast these days, so he doesn't have quite the same need. He does need a new jacket (preferably something waterproof and a wool sweater, since it's rarely cold enough for a heavy jacket) because the sleeves on both of his jackets are short. And he needs a bunch of socks. But everything else is pretty good.
