We participated in Ice Cream For Breakfast Day... though I'm not entirely sure it counts if we make our own non-dairy no-sugar-added ice cream :)

Mmm. I want to start making my own so I can make it low sugar. It sucks that every time someone decides to make "healthier" ice cream they reduce the fat and hardly reduce the sweetening at all, and it's still corn syrup. :( Or else it's sugar free and full of nasty fake stuff and still low fat too.

I love ours. We occasionally buy Rice Dream or something, and I'm not entirely sure why (except laziness), because it's no better than stuff we make.

This was frozen berries, frozen pears, two bananas, some cashews, some coconut milk, an egg, a bit of vanilla, and a spoonful of honey (which probably wasn't really needed).

And can a variation be done with your avocado chocolate?

http://therealocelot.livejournal.com/270788.html is the avocado recipe. And yes, it works absolutely beautifully for ice cream - the texture is amazing. I like to throw in a little chili powder and cinnamon and make it mexican chocolate ice cream.

http://therealocelot.livejournal.com/323405.html?thread=792141#t792141 is today's ice cream - I didn't measure exact amounts.

Does it really count as ice cream if you didn't use any cream? Shouldn't it be ice creme?

Coconut cream is a legitimate name for the fattier/solid part of coconut milk, and that was included, so I stand by my naming choice.
